Abstract

Centrifugation continues to play key roles in many areas of modern molecular and cell biology research. The objective of this application is to upgrade and re-establish state-of-the-art facilities for centrifugal separations at the University of Leeds, and thereby underpin advances in biological research. A large diversity of multidisciplinary projects will benefit from the facilities. In particular, a major aim of the proposed research is to increase our understanding of molecular mechanisms in two key areas of membrane biology.
