Abstract

The Genomic Arabidopsis Resource Network (GARNet) has established a range of top quality genomic technology platforms to provide services to the UK Arabidopsis community. GARNet is now entering a crucial phase, as its services transfer to a more user-pays system. The Co-ordination office at York will fulfil an essential role in smoothly bringing about this transition. In addition, we will act as brokers in ensuring that GARNet benefits fully from collaborations with other national genomics programmes. This is particularly timely with the imminent launch of Framework VI and the recent appointment of a full time administrator to provide a similar role for US Arabidopsis genomics projects.
