Abstract

The aim of this proposed research programme is to use new experimental methods to determine the mechanism of beta 2m amyloidosis in vitro and to compare this within the process occurring in living cells. By building on skills in biophysics and bringing new physical and cell biological methods on board, the aim is to generate new insights into amyloidosis that could not be gained from any of these approaches alone.
