Abstract

Populations of recombinant inbred and near-isogenic lines will be developed and maintained to underpin genetic and biochemical research on seed quality and agronomic traits. As novel germplasm becomes available through collaborations and/or the JIC Germplasm Resources Unit, this will be used to develop new populations. Seed composition mutants will be classified, catalogued and multiplied for use in externally funded projects.
