Abstract
Studies of variation in the relative proportions of trypsin inhibitors in peas, including analysis of the molecular basis of variation. The objective is to understand the factors that control variation in the levels of proteins in pea seeds, with particular reference to trypsin inhibitors. Outputs include pea lines with different amounts of seed trypsin inhibitors and information on their nutritional significance. Technology Foresight Panel Recommendation Biotechnology in Agriculture and the modification of agricultural products. Strategic Programmes Raw material quality.
