Abstract

The objectives of this project are: 1. Identification of chicken- and Marek's disease virus (MDV)-specific microRNAs (miRNAs) and characterisation of their expression profiles. 2. Examination of the potential gene targets of chicken and MDV-specific miRNAs to analyse their role in MDV induced T-cell transformation. 3. Investigation of the role of MDV-specific miRNAs in the induction of T-cell lymphomas in susceptible chickens.
