Abstract
Molecular characterisation of retroviral genes and regulatory elements of avian endogenous retroviruses responsible for RT activity. Evaluation of the extent and distribution of RT activity in cells from different chicken lines and other avian species. Determination f the kinetics of appearance of RT activity and pol-specific transcripts in embryonic tissues. Definition of the basis for the particulate nature of the RT activity.
