Abstract
This project will include strain typing and titration in conventional and transgenic mice to allow us to compare the characteristics of different TSE strains and to demonstrate whether the differences are associated with infectivity titre changes. A continuation of mouse transmissions of UK scrapie strains and TSE strains of interest from other sources will increase our understanding of the variation which occurs naturally within wild type TSE strains.
