Abstract

We will use NMR spectroscopy to investigate the solution structures and dynamics of the RNA bacteriophage MS2 translational operator RNA, a non-assembling coat protein dimer and their complexes. Dynamic properties of such systems are poorly understood and yet are vital for understanding the basis of intermolecular complex formation. Microcalorimetry will be used in concert with the structural studies in order to obtain direct of estimates of DeltaCp and other thermodynamic parameters.
