Abstract

Stage IV of the NCMH will proceed with a re-organisation of its operational structure. The two sites will focus on interactions (Nottingham) and conformation (Leicester) and will continue to provide a facility for the UK science community. In addition, several key deliverables will be realised including a digital universal optics AUC; more rigorous procedures for the analysis of interaction stoichiometries and Kd's; provision of a hydrodynamic bead modelling facility. Concomitant with these developments will be a new system of all concentrations. Full advantage will also be taken of methodological advances developed by colleagues outside the NCMH, such as the omega (Brisbane/Melbourne) and g(s*) (Boston) methods (with their high sensitivity to interaction and conformation).
