Abstract

To maintain the Nottingham laboratory of the National Centre for Macromolecular Hydrodynamics as a National Facility for BBSRC grant holders and institutes. For this, the proposal is to provide essential maintenance and re-development of the MSE Centriscan analytical ultracentrifuge, and provide maintenance for the Beckman Optima XL-A and Model E ultracentrifuges up to the end of the current rolling grant (March 31, 1997). This urgent need has arisen from unexpected repair costs together with the much greater capacity of BBSRC users (through the incorporation of the old AFRC into the Centre's remit).
