Abstract
1) Determinants of classic protein folds by developing consensus sequence and structure templates: 2) Sequence and structure evolution in different protein families, by considering tertiary contacts and secondary structure packing; constraints on and adaptability of protein folds to conserve or diversify protein function; 3) The relationships between packing and conservation of contacts and folding pathways; 4) To develop a software toolbox for structure comparison and analysis; 5) To maintain our folds library and create a library of model folds and motifs.
