Abstract

The objective of the proposed work is to employ a novel and highly multi-disciplinary approach, including state-of-the-art solid state NMR methods, for determining the structure and binding kinetics of ligands (which includes pharmaceutically important drugs) and solutes (which includes vital cellular nutrients) in the active sites of integral membrane proteins and receptors at near physiological conditions. This is a unique and innovative programme and we have a significant lead with the methods and systems.
