Abstract
This document describes a proposal to establish a North of England Structural Biology Centre. The primary aim of the Centre will be to conduct high quality structural biology research, spanning a large number of important biological areas. In addition, strategies are described that will provide access to researchers from host universities, other academic institutions and industry, manage the activities within the Centre, provide a high quality training environment, stimulate links with industry and exploit discoveries made within the Centre.
