Abstract

The fundamental aim is to identify the molecular basis for the 3 different forms of ovine paratuberculosis, by microarray. The 87 oligo reference chip has been used for the initial validation experiments and the full array has now been designed; consisting of 2 non-overlapping 75mers from each of approximately 500 genes (inc controls). This additional project will provide bioinformatics and statistical support to allow maximum exploitation of the array; in particular to establish project-specific MIAME-compliant Laboratory Information Management System and to provide professional statistical analysis of the microarray data. (This is a supplement to grant number 13964)
