Abstract

Proteomics and the readily manipulated Heligmosomoides polygyrus nematode - mouse model are powerful tools to systematically identify for the first time the major gene products of relevance to the establishment of parasitic nematode chronic infections. By assigning a chronicity function to groups of proteins in our global learning models this integrated approach will identify new strategies and targets for future interruption of nematode infection and provide the research community with additional tools to investigate host-parasite interactions.
