Abstract
Using avermectin susceptible and avermectin resistant strains of nematode the aim is to construct response maps of those proteins whose expression is altered by avermectin treatment. As well as giving an overall picture of the physiological basis of avermectin resistance the response maps will aid the identification of 1) proteins that might act as markers for the early, reversible stages of drug resistance 2) proteins that might be putative targets for the development of new drugs and 3) proteins which may be new targets for existing drugs.
