Abstract

1.To classify the escape behaviours of tympanate moths. 2.To measure the distances at which tympanate moths can detect, and react to different species of bats in the field. 3. To establish the functional significance of the escape behaviours exhibited by tympanate moths in interactions with echolocating bats. 4. To provide a measure of echolocation call intensity of a variety of bat species.
