Abstract
1. Cloning the eel AT1- and AT2-like gene. 2. Extending the study of receptor tissue distribution. 3. Determining the eel receptor isoform relationship to mammalian AT1 and AT2 receptors. 4. Establishing the mechanisms for regulation of the angiotensin receptor with particular reference to adaptation to different conditions of salinity. 5. Relating the findings to other studies in progress on the actions of angiotensin II on Na+/H+ exchange, voltage parameters and short circuit current in intestinal, kidney and gill epithelia in the eel.
