Abstract

BBSRC Research Development Fellowships are designed to enable UK university academic staff to devote themselves full-time to independent research. This is achieved by providing funds to the department to relieve the fellow of all significant teaching and administrative duties. This fellowship will enable Dr O. Leyser: 1) identify molecular markers for different stages of Arabidopsis axillary meristem development; 2) to assess and optimise methods for detecting marker expression in Arabidopsis axillary meristems; and 3) to use these tools to characterise axillary meristem development in Arabidopsis.
