Abstract

The aims of the project are: 1) to elucidate the molecular basis of specificity of the SI reaction by a functional analysis of mutant derivatives of SI- glycoprotein generated in vitro; 2) to investigate the interaction of the stigmatic S-glycoprotein with pollen using antibody and labelled S-glycoprotein; 3) to clone with the pollen receptor (S-gene) and begin its characterisation.
