Abstract
Sporozoites of E. tenella will be transfected and promoter activities assayed by expression of a reporter gene (Year 1). The function of 2 microneme genes will be investigated (Year 2). Plasmids for stable transformation of parasites will be made and transformants detected by PCR (Year 3).
