Abstract

1. To identify and isolate the molecules responsible for binding plasmin(ogen). 2. Characterise these with respect to their biochemical nature and biological function. 3. Clone the genes encoding the receptors. 4. Use the cloned genes to generate site directed mutants which lack receptor activity. 5. Compare the ability of such mutants to grow in biological fluids and resist phagocytosis by bovine neutrophils.
