Abstract

1. Objectives to co-crystallise Candida cylindracea lipase with substrates of commercial interest to investigate mode of specificity of enzyme, collect X-ray data. 2. Computer graphics modelling substrates into lipase co-ordinates already obtained. 3. Characterise new lipases enzymes from hyperthermophilic sources. Increase our understanding of structure/function relationships of lipases used in biotransformation reactions.
