Abstract
Cost effective, internationally competitive biological science requires access to fully annotated whole-genome sequence. More than 50 bacterial genomes have been sequenced, but most of these are of medical relevance and are of limited value for studies on bacteria of environmental significance. Here we propose a complete DNA sequence and full annotation of the 6.6 Mbp genome of the model plant-associated bacterium Pseudomonas fluorescens isolate SBW25. (Joint with grant 43/P16724).
