Abstract

The aims of this research project are: 1). To identify the mechanisms involved in clustering of the two cytoplasmic chemosensory transducers of Rhodobacter sphaeroides; 2). To identify the role of the cytoplasmic transducers in R. sphaeroides behaviour and the level of expression under different growth conditions; and 3). To characterise the interactions of the transducers with the CheW and CheA homologues and identify why the two CheA histidine protein kinases have different substrate specificities.
