Abstract

To analyse an Erysiphe graminis homologue (magt7) of a gene expressed during appressorium infection by Colletotrichum gloeosporioides which is host wax inducible magt7 will be characterised and DNA-mediated transformation and pathogenicity assays will assess its role in mildew differentiation and host infection.
