Abstract

The project aims to identify STNV-C RNA sequences and structures essential for its replication by TNV-D polymerase. The investigation will then focus on which sequences and/or structural domains of STNV-C and -2 RNAs result in differences in replication efficiency by the respective TNV-D and -A polymerases. The importance of secondary structural elements in these aspects will be evaluated by testing the replication of mutant and chimaeric STNV-C and -2 RNAs.
