Abstract
1. To develop assays for mistranslation in yeast. 2. to quantify mistranslation of homologous vs heterologous mRNAs (e.g. PGK). 3. to study the influence of cell physiology on translational fidelity in yeast. 4. to quantify mistranslation in known fidelity mutants.
