Abstract
The objectives are as follows: 1) To sequence the complete prodigiosin biosynthesis (pig) gene cluster. 2) To sequence the rap regulatory gene(s). 3) To identify the Pig and Rap proteins. 4) To make gene fusions in the pig and rap genes. 5) To investigate the genetical and physiological factors affecting Pig and Rap expression.
