Abstract
i) To characterise serine acetyltransferase cDNA clones already isolated, ii) to isolate and characterise cDNA clones encoding APS kinase and PAPS sulphotransferase and iii) to use an antisense/transgenic approach with APS kinase/PAPS sulphotransferase to determine the in vivo significance of the 'free' versus 'bound' intermediate pathways of sulphate assimilation.
