Abstract
The aim of the research programme is to develop an efficient method for combinatorial oligosaccharide synthesis. A set of well defined glycosyl donors and acceptors and disaccharides will be used for the preparation of the initial library as well as for the sub- libraries. Libraries of tetrasaccharides will be screened for inhibition of binding of a monoclonal antibody raised against Streptococcus pneumonia Type I.
