Abstract
The OppA system will be exploited as a powerful model for investigating the relationship between structure and thermodynamics in protein ligand interactions. This will provide reliable estimates of the contributions different types of interactions make to the free energy of binding, currently a central problem in understanding molecular recognition and ligand design.
