Abstract
We propose to study normal and abnormal eye movement behaviour using dynamical systems analysis. Using delay embedding techniques we intend to describe the behaviour of neural control mechanisms responsible for unsteady fixation. More specifically we will examine the difference between congenital infantile nystagmus and acquired nystagmus after manipulating visual feedback or randomising the target motion. The control of nystagmus will be attempted using small perturbation techniques.
