Abstract

This proposal is to purchase a laser activated flow cytometer with the ability to sort cells. The machine will be used by at least 50 scientists at the John Innes Centre and the Institute of Food Research for both existing and new research projects. The breadth of the instruments research capabilities will allow studies to be performed in several areas of plant and microbial science, including cell and developmental biology, plant pathology as well as across the whole spectrum of food research from food production to consumer health.
