Abstract
The objectives of this proposed research programme are: 1) to understand the molecular details of signalling specificity of activins and BMP4s in early development of Xenopus; 2) to study the mechanism of inhibition of activin and BMP4 by follistatin, noggin, and chordin; and 3) to study the structures of multimodular growth factors of the CCN family.
