Abstract

The investigations proposed here will greatly enhance our understanding of gene expression control during development, both at the transcriptional and post- transcriptional levels. The integration of developmental studies into the traditionally biophysical research group at Portsmouth is already proving fruitful and the equipment requested here is essential if we are to build further upon these strong foundations.
