Abstract

This award will provide equipment for proteomic analysis, and in particular to focus on providing underpinning resources for four distinct research projects in the field of crop performance and improvement. These are 1) defining substantial equivalence in the proteome of GM and non-GM transgenic wheat grains 2) identification of complexity and composition of the low-molecular weight proteome of seeds 3) proteomic analysis of storage lipid-synthesising sub-domains of the endoplasmic reticulum 4) proteomic analysis of polypeptides of the vacuole membrane.
