Abstract

The requested upgrade will replace the existing out-of-date console on the Department of Pharmacy and Pharmacology's 270MHz NMR spectrometer. The new console will allow researchers 24-hour access to a modern and simple to use NMR spectrometer. The new console and off-line processing workstation will provide the Centre with sufficient capacity for the current research and postgraduate population and planned expansion. It will also provide postgraduate students and researchers a more modern and complete NMR service (including modern 2D techniques) and encourage a more hands-on approach to NMR spectroscopy. The second workstation will reduce demand on the spectrometer console and increase productivity.
