Abstract

The aims of the bioinformatics group at the Roslin Institute are: to provide official central repositories for genome mapping data generated by the worldwide animal genome mapping projects; to develop user-friendly software for data storage, analysis and display; to provide scientists engaged in genome mapping of farmed animals with access to appropriate software for data analysis, interpretation and display; to edit and curate the chicken and pig genome databases and The Comparative Animal Genome database.
