Abstract
A large fragment porcine genomic library established in a bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) vector will be transferred to the MRC HGMP Resource Centre. Structured pools of DNA will be established to facilitate PCR screening of the library. Medium density gridded filters will be made for screening by hybridisation. The value of the library will be tested by screening the library for specific sequences of interest and by constructing contig maps of the region flanking the loci encoding the Escherichia coli K88 receptors on pig chromosome 13.
