Abstract

COGEME I has established national state-of-the-art facilities for the analysis of the transcriptome and proteome of S. cerevisiae, plant and human fungal pathogens, together with a bioinformatics centre dedicated to analysis and database creation for the transcriptomic and proteomic data. Phase II will involve a transition to user pays service provision. The transcriptomics will concentrate on array manufacture for the fungal communities and provide array facilities for the yeast community. The proteomics facility will provide a unique service ranging from protein extraction to data archiving in the PEDRo proteomics database. Our bioinformatics centre will concentrate on data collection, validation, storage, dissemination and analysis. (Joint with grants 18882, 18884, 18885).
