Abstract

The project has 3 components: (i) to develop new methods of exploiting genome sequences to identify optimal combinations of genes to be used for phylogeny reconstruction; (ii) to use those methods to produce a species-level phylogeny for a large fraction of the true yeasts; and (iii) to use that phylogeny to analyse the evolution of metabolic diversity.
