Abstract

The Sainsbury Laboratory Arabidopsis Transposant (SLAT) collection is a population of Arabidopsis lines each containing a non-autonomous dSpm transposable element. The collection will consist of 60,000 lines, and is currently about half complete. The collection is a valuable resource for both forward and reverse genetics and to exploit it fully, the collection should be available to all interested researchers through the Nottingham Arabidopsis Stock Centre. We have funding from the Gatsby Foundation to provide seed and DNA from the first 20,000 lines. The aim of this project is to extend provision to the remaining 40,000 lines.
