Abstract

We have recently shown differential expression of mRNA from mouse brains collected at different points in the circadian cycle. We wish to extend the methodology we have used and perform a complete analysis to identify cDNAs that show circadian cycling. We will characterise these cDNAs using anatomical criteria and initially sequence those which hybridise to the pacemaker regions of the mouse brain. We will further examine the cycling profiles of the cDNAs under free-running conditions in mice which carry mutations of their circadian system.
