Abstract

1. To characterise proteins phosphorylated by polo kinase in vitro. 2. To study the activity, phosphorylation site and interactions with other proteins by the Xenopus polo-like kinases throughout the cell cycle in order to determine how their activity is regulated. 3. To study the effects of polo-mediated phosphorylation of tubulin and microtubule-associated proteins upon microtubule dynamics in relation to mitotic regulation.
