Abstract

We will use the technique of surface plasmon resonance (SPR) to probe interactions between a number of plant transcription factors and their DNA targets. In vitro transcription would be established on the SPR sensor chip. Isolated factors from binding assays will be characterised in full, allowing the molecular mechanisms of their physiological roles to be investigated. The interaction of the transcriptional apparatus with chromatin structure will be investigated.
