Abstract
To purify the SpoIIIE protein or soluble derivatives of it. To test the protein for various predicted biochemical activities. To isolate new spoIIIE mutants by site-directed mutagenesis and examine the effects of these and the classical spoIIIE mutations on SpoIIIE function in vivo and in vitro. To study the sub-cellular localisation of SpoIIIE.
