Abstract

(1) To identify the interacting protein domains whereby yeast Hsp30 regulates the key enzyme of homeostasis, plasma membrane H+- ATPase. (2) To establish how this regulation affects survival of diverse stress situations. (1) and (2) will be accorded equal priority over the full three years and will use the same defined mutants of plasma membrane H+-ATPase and Hsp30.
