Abstract

We plan to evaluate, using bacterial model systems, surface enhanced laser desorption/ionisation ProteinChip (SELDI-PC) technology as an integral component in: (1) the rapid identification of differentially expressed proteins due to a change in growth environment or as a consequence of mutation and (2) rapidly identifying individual mutants of interest by a novel protein tagging method based on unique mass.
